Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts and Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end financial and administrative processes. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounts and general ledger records, processing payroll and contractor payments, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with taxation and reporting requirements.
Key duties include overseeing layered payment structures and contracts, preparing and reconciling invoices, processing BAS and GST reports, and supporting end-of-year financial documentation. The role also involves liaising with internal personnel and vendors to maintain up-to-date compliance and reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- To manage the accounts, general ledger, wages, layers payments and layers contracts
- General Ledger Upkeep
- Wages, Payroll and Managing employee entitlements and records
- Layered payment structures and Layers Contracts and their Conciliation against Invoices
- Setup payment for approval for weekly contractor payments against invoices
- Reconcile bank payments and stores payments daily
- Update and maintain the General Ledger
- Process the monthly BAS (Business Activity Statements)
- Reconcile bank statements
- Enter invoices for stock
- Reconcile Head Office monthly statement
- Reconcile Credit Claims & Supplier Invoices
- Prepare and Process Monthly payments for Contractors and Suppliers & Superannuation
- Process and check monthly GST draft – print and update for BAS
- Maintain reports and actively engagement with personnel on activity
- Prepare all EOFY Paperwork for submission to Group Accountant
- Develop and maintain KPI’s for Franchisee reports for staff meetings
- Ensuring Vendors documentation and Compliance is all up to date
- Participate in Additional Training Including learning internal systems
Requirements:
- CA/CPA Highly Regarded, Bookkeeping Skills at a Minimum
- Understanding or willingness to undertake Australia Taxation & BAS training
- 2 Years of Administrative experience managing invoices, payments and formal degree in field relating to bookkeeping/administrative accounting or accounts and payments management
Working Conditions:
- Overtime expectations – Overtime as required by pre-approval – Holiday penalties applied
- Work environment – High paced environment working with various other remote and local workers, main focus on fast response and customer satisfaction.
- Travel requirements – Travel may be required as part of this role in both training or team building exercises both in Australia or Philippines.
- On-call responsibilities – Only during EOFY reconciliation & ensuring bank payments are ok
- Special conditions or requirements – Ability to work weekends highly regarded, willingness or ability to obtain international passport also highly regarded.
Evaluation and Review:
- Reviews will be conducted on a 6/12 month basis and bonus or salary reviews will be recognised
- Employees (Unlikely) but may be required to intermittently travel to Ortigas, BGC or Taguig for seminars or additional training on occasions.
